I’m a huge goal setter, so it’s no surprise that I get pumped up about setting a new set of things I’d like to work towards in the new year. I’ve got a list of about ten things I really want to work towards this year. Things like running further, growing in my love walk, and working towards raising $35,000 for our 2nd adoption process. You know…mostly small things like that. 😉
But more than any other thing, my heart keeps running back to one simple, yet transformative desire for me in 2014. In 2014, I want to seek Jesus. More than previous years, more than other things I’d like to see accomplished or changed.
I want to seek the Father’s heart like never before. I want to run back to the simplicity commonly found in early faith beginnings, where just worshipping Jesus and delighting in His presence is life’s top priority,
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Rev 3:20
I’m anticipating a continual feast with my Lord this year. 🙂
Amazingly, all other things on my list pale in comparison to the excitement I feel about passionately pursuing my Jesus in 2014. I have a notion that some big things are coming up. I just know it. I’m eager for the unknown right ahead.
I’m handing Him the pen.
Have Your way Jesus. Write Your story over 2014.
