Changed Plans

We’ve known for a few weeks but have kind’ve been in denial wondering if something might change. We just could not make the family trip out west to see Carlos, happen.  We’ve all been disappointed but have moved on to accepting that God will work it out in his time. He’s good like that! We don’t understand everything, but we are assured that He has good for our whole family.

Danny and I are watching flight prices like a hawk and praying something will work out for at least the two of us to be able to see Carlos for a couple of days before school starts back. Something like that could certainly work out!

We are all determined to make the most of the last five or so weeks of summer. June was the most refreshing month I’ve had in a year. Lots of rest and family time came to pass- and I’m so grateful for that.

I’ve done some writing (although mostly personally in a journal) but not as much as I’d hoped. I’m now reflecting on the realization that I may have needed that more, anyway! I’m looking forward to seeing how July unfolds!

There are some exciting things in the works in our church right now- things that are are the stuff of dreams coming to life. I’m so encouraged and know that God is faithful and He’s surely leading us into a new and exciting season. I’ll share more soon!

*Praise the LORD!

Yes, give praise, O servants of the LORD.

Praise the name of the LORD!

Blessed be the name of the LORD

now and forever.

Everywhere—from east to west—

praise the name of the LORD.

For the LORD is high above the nations;

his glory is higher than the heavens.

Who can be compared with the LORD our God,

who is enthroned on high?

-Psalm 113:1-5
