Adoption Scoop- A Call for Prayer

Alright pals, here’s what’s up. Our home study is being reviewed now, but we need prayer. There are two children waiting for a home in Peru, and we believe strongly that we are to request them, when we are to that point. But according to Peru’s guidelines, I am slightly outside of the age range to be able to pursue adopting them. Peru wants there to be 18 years between the oldest child and youngest parent. There’s 17 years and 4 months between the 13 year old girl we hope to adopt as our daughter, along with her little brother.

Peru has allowed this before, but they’ve also totally denied a family for Peruvian adoption altogether (and recently) who had this same request. I know there could have been other factors at play there, but this is a risky pursuit for us, as far as human possibilities are concerned.

Please join with is in prayer for the impossible. We know God can do this- he did it to bring our Camila home, and he can do it again. We trust him to go before us and make our way straight! Please pray for these two precious children, a girl who is 13, and a boy who is 9. That God will give them hope that they will have a family. Without someone being willing to take these risks, these kids might never be adopted. What an eternal tragedy. We are saying yes, and we ask you to pray with us for wisdom and favor along the way.

Go God! Do what only YOU can do! We trust you Lord!
